FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermal pyrolysis, particularly to recycling used tyres and processing used tyres in liquid fuel and pyrocarbon. The method involves decomposing tyres, preheating and their pyrolysis in a reactor. Preheating is carried out using pyrogas. Pyrolysis is carried out in a horizontal rotating reactor with inner guide ledges at 380-500°C in a medium of reducing gas obtained in a generator by burning a portion of pyrolysis gas products with liquid hydrocarbon vapour coming from the reactor. Further, the pyrolysis products are divided into a liquid and a solid fraction. Before release into the atmosphere, flue gases are first cleaned from organic compounds by holding in an oxygen medium and from acids and acid anhydrides by treating with water. The carbon part of the solid fraction is separated from the metal and mineral inclusions through water floatation.
EFFECT: provision for continuity of the method, reduced expenses and time on processing, improved environmental friendliness, improved quality of the obtained solid carbon products - pyrocarbon.
