SUBSTANCE: combustion chamber and nozzle has double walls to the cavity between which there supplied is methane where it undergoes thermal breakdown with release of heat, carbon and hydrogen. The latter is supplied to combustion chamber where it is burnt with maximum release of heat per the unit of oxygen or oxidiser. Engine versions have been considered.
EFFECT: increasing engine power and efficiency.
