FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to procedure for separation of grain and other loose materials with air flow and may find application in cleaning of grain and seeds in agriculture and products of grain processing in flour-grinding, cereal and mixed fodder industries, other industries. Channel for separation of grain with ascending air flow is formed by front, back and side walls and comprises mesh installed as inclined from front wall to back one, as well as windows to receive initial material and discharge processed grain material. At least one rotary barrier is installed across side walls over mesh with gap. Gap Ω between mesh and lower edge of rotary barrier, and also angle of barrier φ rotation is related to critical speed of seeds damage start, with average thickness d of processed material particles and depth ℓ of channel by ratio 3d<(Ω+h·sinφ)<ℓ, and distance f from front wall to the first barrier and between neighboring barriers satisfies ratio Ω<(f-h·sinφ)<0.75 ℓ. Width h of barrier is related to gap Ω by ratio l<(h/[Ω(f+h·sinφ])<10.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of grain material separation, and also reduced damage of seeds.
