METHOD FOR INSULATION OF WATER PRODUCTIONS AND THIEF ZONES IN WELL Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC E21B33/13 

FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil industry, in particular - to methods for insulation of water productions and thief zones in the well. It involves opening the production stratum by way of drilling, preliminary heating of the stratum bottomhole formation zone with formation water with a temperature of at least 90°C, pumping oil-cement slurry into the well, flushing the oil-cement slurry with degreased separator oil with subsequent conditioning. The slurry oil component is represented by a high-viscosity oil, non-fluid under the stratum conditions and warmed to a temperature of at least 60°C. During flushing of the oil-cement slurry the degreased oil is warmed to a temperature of at least 40°C. In case suppurated hydrogen is present In the stratum being insulated warmed formation water is pumped together with suppurated hydrogen neutraliser with the reagents pumped into the well through thermally insulated pipes. The method is to be used in any productive strata including carbonate ones, those with a fracture part and containing suppurated hydrogen.

EFFECT: method enhances efficiency of insulation of water productions and thief zones in the well due to increase of coverage depth and reduction of charge pressure as well as selectivity in insulation due to more intensive mixture of the oil-cement cementation slurry with oil-containing products of the strata or interstratified layers.
