FIELD: heating.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering and can be used in household electric heaters, water heaters for industrial applications and heating systems of private residential buildings. Proposed heater comprises casing accommodating tubular housing with its outer surface supporting isolating glass-ceramic layer whereon heating element is placed. Said element represents cermet resistor with its outer surface furnished with glass-containing protective layer applied thereon. Note here that tubular housing has its cross section increasing towards convective flow with measure expansion of fluid. Note also that electric heater circuit incorporates automatic power controller controlled by temperature pickup arranged on heating element outer surface.

EFFECT: electric power savings, longer life and higher efficiency.
