SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in electric heating devices for water heating systems. The invention consists in creating a compact plate heat exchanger with flat thermistor electric heating elements located with high density over the entire surface of the plate channel element having a maximum heating temperature limit determined by the thermophysical properties of the thermistor and preventing heating of the surface of the plate channel elements of the electric heat exchanger above the boiling point of the heating medium.
EFFECT: fire safety, reduced scale formation, compact design, reliability, and long service life.
