FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric power engineering, namely to device designed to diagnose and test cables with synthetic insulation at increased voltage. Proposed unit comprises SLF voltage source-generator. Said source-generator consists of two parallel branches connected with control unit outputs. Each branch comprises pulse-width modulator, buffer amplifier, HF transformer, voltage multiplier and summing resistor. Note here that one branch comprises positive-polarity voltage amplifier while another one incorporates negative-polarity voltage amplifier. Connection point of two summing resistors makes the unit output.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of insulation tests, expanded performances and higher reliability and safety.
