FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of telecommunications, namely to the field of cryptographic devices and methods for authentication of electronic digital signature (EDS). Method for generation and authentication of EDS includes the following sequence of actions; elliptical curve (EC) is generated above end field in the form of combination of points, every of which is identified by a pair of elements of end field, secret key is generated in the form of multidigit binary number k, secret key is used to generate open key in the form of P point of EC, electronic document (ED) is received, depending on received ED and value k, EDS Q is generated, the first A and second B authenticating bit lines are generated, compared, and when sequences of unit and zero bits match in authenticating bit lines A and B, conclusion is made on authenticity of electronic digital signature. EC is generated above vector end field.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of EDS logics without reduction of its resistance level.
