FIELD: physics, communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device and a method designed for optimum evaluation of distortions incurred by a transmission medium through successive sending of pairs of quadrature complementary sequences and can be used to eliminate the effect of distortions incurred by a communication system. The method is characterised by that, sets of complementary sequences are sent, which are modulated and sent using different phases to the analysed transmission medium. Elements of the sets are separated in time and, during reception, are demodulated and compared in an order which provides extraction of spectral and time characteristics of independent channels as well as channel cross-talk.
EFFECT: reduced effect of noise.
