FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: systems and generalised methods are proposed, which promote application of a scrambling code from a set of scrambling codes, which is indexed with primary synchronisation codes (PSC), for scrambling or descrambling of the secondary synchronisation code (SSC). Scrambling codes in the set may be designed to optimise ratios of peak capacity to average capacity and/or attenuation of mutual correlation. For instance, scrambling codes may be based on various M-sequences generated from dissimilar polynoms. In accordance with a different example, scrambling codes may be based on different cyclic shifts of one and the same M-sequence. According to another example, scrambling codes may be based on binary approximations of possible primary synchronisation codes used in the wireless communication environment. In accordance with an additional example, scrambling codes may be based on different complementary Golay sequences.
EFFECT: increased throughput capacity.
