SUBSTANCE: invention relates in general to multiaddress/broadcasting single-frequency networks (MBSFN) and is designed for improvement of cell searching for non-enabling MBSFN terminals in a MBSFN DOB-system. For this purpose physical channels PPHY1, PHY2 of a downlink are summed in a summation unit 10. The outlet of the summation unit 10 is sent into another summation unit 12, where it is combined with channels P-SCH, S-SCH of primary and secondary synchronisation. The channel S-SCH of secondary synchronisation is generated as in WCDMA. The channel P-SCH of primary synchronisation is generated by connection of a switch SW either with a code generator 14 generating a traditional code PSCwcdma, or with a code generator 18, generating a code PSCnew. Selection is controlled by a controller 18 PSC. This controller may be arranged with the possibility to create a P-SCH in compliance with one of several formats. PSCnew has such properties that it is a hierarchical Golay sequence built by many component sequences, at least with one of component sequences, which is a Golay sequence, and that it is orthogonal to codes of primary and secondary synchronisation used in the non-enabling MBSFN WCDMA.
