FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to paediatrics and neonatology. For forecast of cerebral ischemia consequence development in the first year for infants after chronic intrauterine hypoxia, endothelin-1 level in umbilical blood is determined. If endothelin-1 volume is 1.3 fmol/ml or more, development of consequences of perinatal affections on central nervous system in the first year is forecast.
EFFECT: non-invasive non-traumatic method allowing for determination of cerebral ischemia consequence development for infants immediately after birth.
