FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to predict neurological disorders in neonates with intrauterine growth retardation (IGR). The essence of the method: the glutamic acid content and the insulin-like growth factor-1 are determined in the umbilical cord. With a glutamic acid value of less than 17.08 pg/ml and an insulin-like growth factor-1 below 30.2 pg/ml, neurological development in a neonate is predicted.
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy and specificity of predicting neurological disorders in newborns with a delay in fetal development of the fetus and in a timely manner to carry out pathogenetic therapy.
