FIELD: medicine, neurology, perinatology.

SUBSTANCE: in a child's umbilical blood it is necessary to detect the level of endothelin-1, and on the 6th dopplerometric trial of median cerebral artery should be conducted. If endothelin-1 level corresponds to 814 pkg/ml and more, the index of resistance corresponds to 0.73 and more one should predict the development of neurological symptomatics in the present child during the first 3 mo of his life. The innovation enables to predict CNS pathology in neonatals in earlier neonatal period.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of prediction.
