SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for storage and distribution of viscous and thickening liquids. Horizontal reservoir comprises cylindrical shell, bottoms, neck with drain and fill pipe of specified diametre, permeable screen of porous material installed inside reservoir and having shape of half of ellipse-like Cassinian oval in its cross section, with fixed foci of which central longitudinal axes of two tubular heaters are matched. Screen is installed with double-sided longitudinal gaps relative to shell, width of which is determined through mathematical expression.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of reservoir operation for viscous and thickening liquids due to intensification of heat transfer process through screen and optimisation of heat flow in under-screen space.
