FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sewage water treatment and specifically to methods of treating sewage sludge on sludge beds. The method involves gravitational compaction of sludge, layer by layer freezing, thawing, tapping thaw water and drying the sludge in natural conditions. The decantation steps are carried out in one sludge bed in which flocculated sludge is fed. The flocculant used contains polyethyleneoxide with molecular weight of not less than 1·106. During decantation using the disclosed method, sludge is supplied to the bed in proportion to its accumulation during continuous tapping of sludge water and the Sibfloc® flocculant can be used.
EFFECT: more efficient use of a sludge bed as a result of intensification of the process of decantation of sludge, including in winter conditions.
