FIELD: petroleum processing and petrochemistry. SUBSTANCE: fuel additive, in particular additive for motor car gasolines, used for lowering fuel loss from evaporation upon storage contains, wt %: fluorine-containing quaternary ammonium salt of formula C₈F₁₇CONCHC₃H₆N(C₂H₄OH)(CH₃)₂Cl, 1,2-3.4; polyether based on ethylene oxide and propylene oxide with molecular weight 2501, 3.5-7.5; phthalic acid dactyl ester, 3.5-7.5; and 1-decano/1-butanol 1:1 mixture, the balance. Use of additive lowers evaporation loss under tank storage conditions by 47.0-48.2% or by 6.3-7.5% as compared to known additive. EFFECT: increased antievaporation efficiency and achieved 200-fold reduction in concentration of additive in fuel. 2 tbl
