SUBSTANCE: method involves sorption of zinc (II) ions by bringing the solution into contact with bean skin. The sorbent used is bean skin pre-treated in an alkaline solution and sorption is carried out at pH=5-6.
EFFECT: finding optimum conditions for a fast and efficient method of extracting zinc from industrial and household effluent using agricultural products.
