FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of extracting copper (II) ions from an aqueous solution involves sorption of copper by bringing the initial solution into contact with bean skin. The sorbent used is bean skin pre-treated in an alkaline solution and sorption is carried out at pH=4.
EFFECT: finding optimum conditions for a fast and efficient method of extracting copper from industrial and household effluent using agricultural products.
