FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: high-voltage (1) and grounded (2) electrodes of the device, which are equipped with insulation coatings (3 and 4), are passed through vertical holes in the carriage (7) and through elastic sleeves (15) installed in end through holes of the balance-beam (14) suspended on support (12) attached to carriage (7) which is installed on guides (8). Carriage (7) by means of gear (9) and coupling (10) is attached to reversible motor (11). Near-bottomhole ends (5 and 6) of electrodes (1 and 2) do not have insulation coatings, bent and face each other, thus forming an inter-electrode gap. Above carriage (7) on electrodes (1 and 2) there fixed are transported cargos (16 and 17), and on those loads - switches (18 and 19) of motor (11) rotation direction. The device allows automating the movement of electrodes (1 and 2) when cutting rocks (25) and artificial current non-conducting materials.
EFFECT: increasing cutting efficiency of rocks and artificial current non-conducting materials with high-voltage pulse discharges.
