FIELD: mining; measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technical means for investigating the destruction of rocks by high-voltage impulse discharges in close to real conditions in wells at great depths and can be used in the oil and gas industry to study the feasibility and efficiency of drilling wells. Device comprises a cylindrical body to which end caps are attached, and from the top is attached a piece of pipe with a first high-voltage insulator tightly installed in it, under which the second high-voltage insulator is located. High-voltage current lead is passed along the axial line of these insulators, a high-voltage electrode with a clearance of 4–6 mm above the rock sample is attached to the lower end of the insulator. Grounded electrode is installed in contact with the sample of the rock. To move this sample and simultaneously the other samples a tray of dielectric material where rock samples are placed, rigidly attached to the carriage moving forward or backward along the lead screw while rotating it from the shaft through the drive and driven parts of the contactless magnetic coupling. Socket is intended for filling the cylindrical body with a dielectric liquid by means of an oil station.
EFFECT: increase the efficiency of drilling deep wells in the oil and gas industry.
