FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: angle sensor of a detector element is excited using alternating sinusoidal voltage. Direct voltage is converted to current which flows through the torque sensor of the detector element. The value of current is converted to a digital code which is the measurement result. There is a sequence of operations under which the angle sensor exciting voltage is rectified and then averaged, alternating angle sensor exciting voltage and output voltage of the angle sensor are summed, rectified, the summation result averaged and then subtracted from the averaged exciting voltage. The subtraction result is integrated, thereby generating direct voltage.
EFFECT: less errors when measuring mechanical quantities.
