SUBSTANCE: proposed invention comprises detecting multiple images of control zone, defining if image of moving zone exists in multiple images, analysing color pattern or frequency of moving zone image flicker to generate first analysed results and compare said result with specific feature of reference flame attribute. It comprises also variations in location or area of moving zone to generate second analysed result, compare the latter with preset threshold value and define if moving zone image represents flame image, proceeding from comparison results.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of flame detection and reduced probability of false alarms.
