SUBSTANCE: noise in form of grains and scratches is superimposed on an input image as random noise to form a combined image. When superimposing noise on the input image in form of grains cut from two-dimensional noise data, the difference of position from the last cutting position is estimated each time cutting is performed. If it is determined that the difference between the positions is small, the position of the current cutting is changed. When superimposing scratches on the input image, the scratches being cut from noise data with a plurality of drawings, the difference of the position from the last inserting position is estimated when selecting the condition for successive application of scratches during a predetermined time interval. If it is determined that the distance is long, superposition of the scratches is considered invalid.
EFFECT: enabling superposition of two types of noise with different characteristics on a captured image.
