FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: claimed method of double-feed engine rotation speed control involves connection of engine stator winding to frequency converter, short circuit of rotor and stator winding output terminals at initial starting moment, frequency and voltage setup at frequency converter output, engine rotor acceleration to threshold frequency speed, further disconnection of rotor and stator winding output terminals, connection of rotor winding outputs of one phase to stator winding output terminals of the same phase, connection of rotor winding outputs of next phase to stator winding output terminals of previous phase, connection of rotor winding outputs of previous phase to stator winding output terminals of next phase, frequency and voltage reduction at frequency converter output simultaneously with rotor winding output connection to stator winding output terminals, where frequency is reduced to the level at which stator field rotation speed is equal to half of threshold rotor rotation speed, and smooth change of frequency and voltage level setting signals at frequency converter input for engine rotation speed control after the engine falls in step.

EFFECT: rigid mechanical parametres of double-feed engine due to synchronous operation mode.
