SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an image forming device. The developer cartridge has a case with a developer discharge hole, a unit for detecting remaining developer placed over the developer discharge hole and a stirring unit placed with possibility of rotating inside the cartridge case in order to move the developer. The unit for detecting the remaining developer has a first light guide which has light reception part on one end so as place an optical sensor directed towards a light emission unit, and a first light transfer surface formed at the other end and a second light guide which has a light output part on one end so as to place an optical sensor directed towards the light reception unit, and a second light transfer surface formed at the other end.

EFFECT: image forming device has a main housing which has an optical sensor having a light emission unit and a light reception unit in order to detect amount of remaining developer, a developer cartridge which can be removed from the main housing, where the developer cartridge has a sensor opening formed so as to be placed in the direction towards an optical sensor, and a removable developer cartridge.
