FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: device for measuring moisture of granular materials has a capacitance transducer, a unit for controlling actuating mechanisms and an input device. The capacitance transducer is connected to a moisture sensor which has actuating mechanisms for loading and unloading and regulating surface area of measuring electrodes of the said sensor. The unit for controlling actuating mechanisms automatically adjusts the moisture sensor using actuating mechanisms to achieve maximum accuracy of measuring moisture. The input device gives all values entered into the unit for controlling actuating mechanisms and its operation modes.

EFFECT: more accurate measurement of moisture of materials with different content of impurities, easier use of systems for drying granular materials and increased efficiency.
