METHOD OF TREATING OPEN-ANGLE GLAUCOMA Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61F9/07 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology and can be used for treatment of open-angle glaucoma (OAG). Bridle suture is applied on upper rectus muscle, conjunctiva is cut parallel to limb, conjunctival flap is separated with base to limb, section of sclera free from large vessels is selected, hemostasis in place of supposed operation cuts is performed, superficial flap of sclera is cut out on 1/2-1/3 of sclera thickness. Superficial scleral flap is separated to corneal part of limb on 1.0 mm into transparent cornea layers with base to limb, onto flap top retension suture is applied, thorough vessel hemostasis is carried out, deep scleral flap with exposure of pigmented and non-pigmented parts of trabecular network, extreme periphery of Descemet's membrane is separated, layer of endothelium of Schlemm's canal with uxtacanalicular tissue is removed. After removal of Schlemm's canal endothelium with uxtacanalicular tissue, by means of microspatula space between corneosclerouveal and uveal trabeculars is entered, thus forming a "tunnel" with meridional portion of ciliary muscle to equator side, thus opening paths into intermuscular gaps. Into newly formed space, needle with thread is introduced, pricking out is performed 1.0-6.0 mm from scleral spur. Into scleral bed drainage is placed, suture is applied crisscross simultaneously fixing drainage and tighten scleral spur with corneosclerouveal trabeculas. After that on superficial scleral flap two interrupted sutures are applied, on conjunctiva being sutured with uninterrupted suture.

EFFECT: method allows to increase hypotension effect of surgical treatment of open-angular glaucoma.
