SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protective structure for fuel system component. Proposed structure comprises high-pressure fuel pump 21, protective device 41 and pin 51. High-pressure fuel pump 21 comprises unit 31 and coupling 23. Unit 31 features relatively greater rigidly relative coupling 23. Protective device 41 is arranged opposite coupling 23 and unit 31 at a certain distance. Pin 51 is arranged unit 31 and protective device 41. When high-pressure fuel pump 21 and protective device 41 move towards each other, pin 51 comes in contact with unit 31 before protective device 41 comes in contact with coupling 23 so that high-pressure fuel pump 21 and protective unit 41 is affected by elastic force.

EFFECT: protection of fuel system component in collision or similar event.
