FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in petrochemical industry, industrial power engineering and on facilities which use transformer oil. The oil to be purified in an adsorber successively passes through a layer consisting of a mixture of quartz sand with fine particles and alumina in mass ratio of (1-5):1, and then through a layer of a coarse-grained sorbent (or a mixture of coarse-grained sorbents). The oil flows from the adsorber in form of a thin film into a collector. Degassing is carried out at the collection line of the purified oil using a vacuum. The method is realised in a single apparatus.
EFFECT: simplification and reduction of the cost of the technology of purifying transformer oil which meets quality requirements for reclaimed oil.
