FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: procedure for protection of mines against water inrush from side of water flow under conditions of permafrost consists in laying pipe at bottom of potentially hazardous section of water flow within boundaries of its bed talik; said pipe facilitates water flow passing in volume usually present at least at beginning of cold season of year. Also at one end the pipe is equipped with an inlet bell, while on another end it is equipped with an outlet bell and is covered with heat insulating layer and soil resistant to washout. Before a potentially hazardous section of water flow the pipe crosses a crown of overfall waterproof conjugated with permafrost soil of the bed and sides; rise of water level before the inlet bell of the pipe to a specified level is facilitated by means of this crown of overfall. The crown of overfall and its boards are made out of gabions, baskets of which are made out of wire mesh and filled with stone material. The gabions are tied with wire; they form a single flexible gabion structure; the structure is enclosed into a waterproof membrane and heat insulating shell from beneath and on sides; also a waterproof membrane installed across water flow between the gabions functions as anti-filtration diaphragm.
EFFECT: reduced thermal effect on permafrost rock and solidifying body of intake portal, reduced rigidity of intake portal.
