FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for use in environment devices in medicine, veterinary science and other fields for ion generation and transmission. A method for ionisation of indoor air involves a forced air ventilation delivery in an air pipe, ionisation of air therein with using a high direct voltage source, at least one needle electrode, an inner conducting air pipe layer; and repulsion force of the similar electric charges is applied along the full length of the air pipe; then the electrostatic field which enables the air ions to repulse from the conducting faces is generated outside of the indoor air pipe by the direct voltage source. A device for ionising indoor air comprises a fan, a high direct voltage source, at least one needle electrode for ionisation of air in the air pipe, the inner conducting air pipe layer, with a negative terminal of the high direct voltage source being connected to the needle electrode, and a positive terminal - to the conducting air pipe layer, an indoor face intended for repulsing air ions.
EFFECT: extended range of application of the method with improved effectiveness and safety of use.
