FIELD: food-processing industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves ionizing supplied gas with electric charge in two stages: preliminary gas ionizing stage and stage of repeated ionization of produced mixture with pulsed electric discharge. Apparatus has housing made from insulating material, generating electrode provided with metal needles and connected with high-voltage source and netted accelerating electrode positioned in the course of flow of aeroions. Apparatus is further provided with preliminary ionization electrode connected with power source, gas or air forced supply unit positioned in front of preliminary ionization electrode, gas discharge chamber and extraction system. Netted accelerating electrode serves end wall of gas discharge chamber, where generating electrode with metal needles is positioned. Generating electrode is connected to high-frequency voltage source. Opposite netted end wall of gas discharge chamber serves first electrodes of extraction system, which is defined by this electrode and two subsequent potential extracting electrodes positioned in the course of flow of aeroions, each connected with power source.
