FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to physiotherapy, gastroenterology. A method involves exposure to pulse current through electrodes. The electrodes are placed within projections of bowels on the anterior abdominal wall. Bidirectional balanced fluctuating current is used as said pulse current. In peritoneal commissures, the electrodes are placed on the anterior abdominal wall within a projection of the middle and lower one-third of the abdominal rectus muscles. In a congenital bowel defect, one electrode is arranged on the anterior abdominal wall, and the second - within inferior thorax and superior lumbar spine.
EFFECT: method improves clinical effectiveness in constipations of various aetiologies in children due to the electrode arrangement conditioned by the detected pathology and the use of fluctuating current.
