SUBSTANCE: invention refers to processing metal under pressure and can be implemented for flattening metal bands, particularly thin bands, for example out of aluminium alloys by rolling, straightening and/or drawing. There is used at least one complete set of tension rollers with at least two tension rollers. At least one of tension rollers of the complete set of tension rollers can incline in plane of band motion and/or across plane of band motion to control degree of evenness variable along length of the band.
EFFECT: upgraded quality of flattening.
