FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to machine building industry, mining and construction industry, namely to strikers of percussion mechanisms. Striker of percussion mechanism includes the main part made in the form of cylindrical piston and striking parts with a cavity. In the above cavity there arranged is material layer with specific weight different from specific weight of material of the main part, and insert having the curved surface from material identical to the material of the above main part.
EFFECT: providing stable position of the striker in the housing of percussion mechanism, generation of smooth-shaped impact pulse and simplifying the manufacturing procedure of a striker.
