FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of ceramic proppants designed for use in oil industry when extracting oil through hydraulic fracturing. In the method of preparing proppant, which involves depositing of a mixture of phenol formaldehyde novolac resin (PFNR) and urotropin onto hot ceramic granules, lowering temperature of the granules and subsequent deposition of a layer of a water repellent solution, the mixture of PFNR and urotropin is deposited in amount of 14-20% of the mass of PFNR on magnesium silicate granules heated to 135-145°C, in amount which provides 0.5-0.9 of the mixture of PFNR of the mass of the granules, and the said subsequent deposition of the water repellent layer is carried out at low temperature between 60 and 90°C, using chlorosulphonated polyethylene in toluene as the said solution, where the chlorosulphonated polyethylene is taken in amount of 0.2-0.5% of the mass of granules. The magnesium silicate proppant is characterised by that it is obtained using the method described above.
EFFECT: higher acid resistance of the magnesium silicate proppant with retention of sufficiently high conductivity of layer of splitters in order to intensify oil extraction.
