FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: turbo pump unit comprises gas turbine, centrifugal pump and separation device arranged there between, shaft groove seal separating seal cavity from chamber of discharging leaks to centrifugal wheel inlet. In compliance with this invention, said cavity seal between turbine and pump along the shaft to shaft groove seal is communicated with centrifugal wheel cavity by diffuser screw grooves made in separation device at the height of wheel OD.
EFFECT: higher pump efficiency and turbo pump unit reliability.
