FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in rocket engineering, in turbo-pump units of liquid-propellant rocket engines and nuclear rocket engines. Turbo-pump unit comprises pump and turbine, shaft resting on bearings, turbine impeller installed on shaft and impeller, housing and separation cavity with shaft seals on pump cavity side and cavity in front of turbine wheel. Separating cavity is connected to the buffer cavity above the compliant shell by means of the channel in the body, which forms together with the external surface of the turbine impeller the turbine seal.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at improvement of reliability and efficiency of turbo-pump unit.
