SUBSTANCE: air spring assembly comprises flexible sleeve secured to air spring piston assembly. Air spring piston assembly comprises outer shell with face and side walls and structural insert fitted therein. Said structural insert consists of multiple inserts. Said inserts have central sections that, when jointed together, form central part of said structural insert, and support walls running from central sections towards outer shell sidewall. To secure structural insert to outer shell, said inserts are furnished with clips while outer shell face wall has mating holes. Said inserts can be made from plastic or metal sheet steel.
