FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: there is described a catalyst applied in methanol to olefins transformation, and a method for making thereof, including: preparation of a reaction mixture containing aluminium, phosphorus, water, organic matrix and an element chosen from the group, consisting of silicon, magnesium, zinc, iron, cobalt, nickel, manganese, chromium and their mixtures to prepare a nonzeolite molecular sieve which in the anhydrous state has a chemical compound expressed by empirical formula: (ELxAlyPz)O2, where EL is an element chosen from the group, consisting of one or more elements, such as silicon, magnesium, zinc, iron, cobalt, nickel, manganese or chromium, h represents a mole fraction of EL and has a minimum value of 0.001, y represents a mole fraction of Al and is equal to at least 0.01, and z means a mole fraction of P and has minimum value of 0.01, and x+y+z=1; crystallisation of the molecular sieve at temperature within 100° and 250°C; washing of the molecular sieve; addition of a binding agent to the washed molecular sieve to form a slurry catalyst; spray drying of the slurry catalyst; baking at temperature higher 500°C to prepare the catalyst; water processing of the catalyst for 1 to 48 h at water temperature 20° and 180°C and its drying.
EFFECT: catalyst shows higher selectivity during methanol to olefins transformation.
