FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in press forging for separating shaped-profile bar into billets in large-scale production. Proposed device comprises movable bush knife, axial head pusher and bar radial clamping system consisting of fixed lower clamp, vertically moving upper clamp and bar rotation drive. The latter represents two synchronously revolving half-couplings with coaxial passes corresponding to half the section of bar shaped profile and thrust triangular ledges located on said half-couplings with spacing equal to bar feed pitch. Stationary lower clamp comprises oil feed channels, while bar rotation drive has non-metal gaskets arranged along aligned passes axes.
EFFECT: expanded performances, higher wear resistance of half-couplings and billet quality.
