FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for lime slaking and can be used in production of alumina and gallium. Lime slaker contains body with ripening chamber with spiral and re-pulpation chamber with spiral, which are connected to each other by means of spiral dosing device, and chamber of lime slaking, which is provided with spiral and is connected with device for charging live lime and water supply, with application of end sealing, head of finished product selection with spiral sieve cone for separation of underburn, device for underburn removal and device for output of finished product. Sealing is installed between charging device and the chamber. In said cone installed is barrier in form of cylindrical envelope with cuts for underburn passage with 5° angle between cut axes and total area of cuts constituting 20-25% of barrier surface area. Spiral of slaking chamber is made at angle 55-70°, of ripening chamber - at angle 45-55°, of re-pulpation chamber - at angle 25-45° to the axis of slaker body rotation. Device of charging and supply is made in form of funnel, provided with branch pipe, device of finished product output is made in form of branch pipe. Angle of inclination of slaker longitudinal axis constitutes up to 4°.

EFFECT: increase of slaker productivity and exploitation term, quality and coefficient of finished product output.
