FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to production of metals and/or metal products, particularly, of cast iron and/or cast iron semi-products. In particular, source material in form of fine particles containing metal is supplied into a melting aggregate by means of pneumatic transportation corresponding to a flow of transporting gas in form of a medium flow formed out of source material and the flow of transporting gas. Source material is introduced upon isolating flow of transporting gas and separately in at least two points of introduction. Introduction can be performed independently and continuously or in limited volumes. Also before isolation of transporting gas flow, the medium flow is divided to at least two partial medium flows; corresponding partial flows of transporting gas are separated and partial amounts of source material are introduced. Introduction of partial amounts of source material is controlled by means of purposeful withdrawal of separated partial flows of transporting gas.

EFFECT: improved process of melting in aggregate due to controlled optimal ratio between source material and other materials involved in process.
