FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: fluidized layer temperature (24) is greater than 300°C and less than 900°C. The introduction of the fine material (4) is carried out by the burner (2) directly into the fluidized layer (24) and/or into the free space (25) above the fluidized layer (24). At the same time, the surface of the fine particles (4) is fused and agglomerates are formed which are kept in suspension by the upwardly flowing reducing gas. The particles contained in the agglomerates containing iron oxide are reduced and removed from the reducing unit (1).
EFFECT: invention allows the use of a finely dispersed material comprising a large number of iron-containing particles, without being pretreated directly in the cast iron production process and/or direct reduction process without adversely affecting the cast iron production process.
