FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: device has a frequency control unit, a microwave generator, a power divider, a measurement microwave resonator, a reference microwave resonator, an amplitude detector for the measurement resonator, an amplitude detector for the reference resonator, a frequency measurement and processing unit, a pressure sensor and a temperature sensor. The measurement and reference microwave resonators have identical electrical characteristics and are made in form of open cylindrical resonators. The cylindrical cavity of the measurement microwave resonator used is the volume of the neck of the tapering device of the measurement section.

EFFECT: possibility of measuring volume ratio of the liquid phase in a stream of a liquid-gas mixture (LGM) without disturbing the stream and reduced instability of the output signal of the amplitude detector, which reduces errors of the measured quantities and shortens the measurement time.
