FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: resistance-to-voltage converter has three operational amplifiers, a reference voltage source, first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth resistors, two diodes, two resistance voltage dividers and a variable resistor. There is separation of functions and transfer of the amplification function in the circuit with T-shaped connection of elements (nonlinear due to the diode) to the second operational amplifier. The nonlinearity due to the diode eliminates saturation voltage (approximately 200 mV) of the second operational amplifier from the peak-to-peak value of the output signal during unipolar powering of the operational amplifiers without affecting linear amplification of the differential signal of the variable resistor.
EFFECT: wider dynamic range from the top and bottom during unipolar power supply and retention of metrological characteristics.
