FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a distance measurement system which includes a transceiver (100), which transmits an electromagnetic wave by radio (CWV) and a converter (TSP) installed at distance (DST) from the transceiver which receives the electromagnetic wave. The converter is made with possibility of modulating the electromagnetic wave depending on the distance between the transceiver and the converter. The invention also discloses the corresponding method of measuring distance.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of measuring distance and reduced manufacturing and operational costs.
