FIELD: radar.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar with an active response and can be used in the development of radio sounding systems (RS) of the atmosphere with a telemetric channel for transmitting meteorological data and determining spatial coordinates of aerological radiosondes (ARS) by measuring angular coordinates by equisignal zone method and slant range by radio pulse method. Aerological radiosonde with the homodyne transceiver of the atmospheric radar sounding system further includes a homodyne transceiver which increases stability of the carrier frequency, reduces the radiation spectrum of the ARS transmitter and increases efficiency of its operation.

EFFECT: wider range of operating ranges of the radio sounding system to the region of short distances, as well as improved operational and technical characteristics and broader functional capabilities of the RS.
