FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to structure 1 of filler incorporated with fluid media exchange column that defines exchange surface for at least one liquid phase downflow coming in contact with at least one gas phase upflow. Proposed filler structure differs from known structures in that it features volume formed by multiple rows of tube bundles 10. Every bundle comprises four tubes (10a-10d) oriented along four directions (D10a-D10d) at an angle to structure axis. Note here that said tubes make channels extending outside the outer surface of structure 1.
EFFECT: optimised sizes of exchange surface, sufficient flow rate of exchange media.
